ABOUT THE TEAM:
Analytics is a fun and focused department within the Analytics and Technology Services division. The BSA II role will primarily work as a liaison between our Developers and customers within the Health Services division. We are passionate about the work we produce and collaborate within the organization for impactful results.


ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience with and working knowledge of Care Management and/or Utilization Management platforms, a plus if you have worked with Essette. You will be data driven and an analytical thinker with the ability to provide outstanding customer service. You will work independently to research, evaluate, and implement solutions. You will always be thinking about workflow and process improvement as you work toward directly impacting the Alliance systems.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction, this position manages Low to Medium - High complexity projects, performs maintenance, configuration, development and support Alliance system and reporting tools, performs analysis of Alliance system, data and reporting needs, and performs Project Management tasks.


YOU WILL BRING:

  • SQL skills
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Current technology transmission and receipt methods / requirements of electronic data submissions
    • Medical terminology and related procedures and diagnostic coding
    • Medi-Cal and Medicare programs
  • Knowledge of:
    • The healthcare industry and the principles of healthcare planning
    • Proper project management techniques
    • Data visualization
  • Ability to:
    • Collect, interpret and evaluate data; and, to project consequences of recommendations
    • Assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position
    • Think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within established times
  • Education and experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Two (2) years business analysis experience in a Medi-Cal or managed care environment is required; experience as a BSA I preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying
