Water Distribution Crew Leader III/IV

The current vacancy is for Water Distribution Crew Leader III/IV in the Water Department. Under direction, the Water Distribution Crew Leader III/IV supervises and actively participates in the work of a crew performing assignments in the construction, maintenance, and repair of City water distribution systems, streets, and sidewalks; and performs related work as assigned. Minimum requirements are high school diploma or tested equivalent, three (3) years of experience related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution systems, and one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience within a Water, Wastewater, or related department. A Water Distribution Operator's Certificate from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) is required at the time of hire for each of the following positions: Water Distribution Crew Leader III: Grade III (D3), Water Distribution Crew Leader IV: Grade IV (D4). A valid California Restricted Automatic class A driver's license with tanker, 5th wheel and air brake endorsements OR A California Unrestricted Class A drivers` license is also required at the time of hire.
