About Community Life Services

Community Life Services supports adults with disabilities to lead fulfilling, inclusive, and self-directed lives. Through community living, continuing education, and employment-focused services, we empower individuals to develop meaningful connections and achieve their personal goals.

Position Summary

We are hiring Employment Specialists who are passionate about disability rights, inclusion, and customized employment. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to make a lasting difference through person-centered planning and individualized support.

Schedule: Flexible hours based on individual and program needs. May include evenings or weekends.

Status: Part-time positions available, with the potential to grow into full-time roles based on performance and program growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Support individuals with disabilities in identifying and pursuing employment and life skills goals
- Conduct strength-based assessments and deliver individualized instruction
- Identify and develop volunteer and paid job opportunities with local businesses
- Support accommodations and provide consultation to employers and individuals
- Provide direct job coaching and ongoing support in real-work settings
- Accurately document services, progress, and outcomes
- Serve as a professional and compassionate representative of Community Life Services

What We`re Looking For

- Reliable, professional, and committed to person-centered practices
- Strong communicators with excellent writing, organizational, and computer skills
- Self-directed yet team-oriented, adaptable, and resourceful
- Positive role models who believe in the full inclusion of people with disabilities

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor`s degree in a relevant field (social services, education, rehabilitation, etc.)
- At least two years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities
- Experience or training in job development or customized employment

Requirements

- Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid California Driver`s License, clean driving record, and reliable insured vehicle
- COVID-19 vaccination 
- Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background check
