Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager to lead needlepoint shop. The ideal candidate will combine strong retail management skills with a deep understanding of needlepoint. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing day-to-day operations, and fostering a friendly and supportive environment for our customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Retail Operations: Oversee all store functions, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring a clean and organized sales floor.
• Merchandising: Maintain an inviting and visually appealing store by planning and executing captivating displays that showcase products and inspire customer creativity.
• Team Leadership: Participate in hiring team members and then be responsible for training, scheduling, and motivating them to create a great customer experience.
• Customer Experience: Resolve customer issues and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude. Train staff to provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance to customers, advising them on project selection and stitching techniques.
• Community and Events: Plan and execute in-store events, workshops, and classes to build and engage the local needlepoint community.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and reorder products from suppliers to prevent stockouts.
• Marketing: Collaborate on marketing initiatives, including social media content, email newsletters, and in-store promotions, to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Passion for Needlepoint: A strong appreciation and understanding of needlepoint is essential.
• Retail Management Experience: Experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably in a specialty boutique or craft-related business.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of inventory management systems and retail operations.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams in a retail setting.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience.
