We have an opening for a Mortgage Loan Officer
The Mortgage Loan Officer proactively solicits residential purchase money home loans that meet established loan quality and production goals. . This includes but is not limited to spending at least 51% of time in the field generating leads and originating purchase money home loans. This also includes spending a portion on time in a Bay Fed CU branch to follow up on branch referrals. The Mortgage Loan Officer identifies, develops and maintains a network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new home lending opportunities. They ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Credit Union, federal and state compliance policies.
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in business or finance preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a mortgage loan sales position
• Bi-lingual preferred to provide support for our South County Members.
• Ability to understand the application of Regulations Z and B.
Certification and/or Licensing Requirements:
Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential mortgage loan originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must be registered with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements.
• Valid California driver's license and insurance.
