Great local organization in Scotts Valley looking for a senior HR Generalist to act as the initial point of contact for employees with general HR, benefits, leaves of absence and policy questions. Typical duties include: 

  • Explaining company policies and practices, and routing inquiries, as appropriate
  • Creating, routing, filing, entering and auditing employee changes
  • Supporting the administration of, and providing explanation and interpretation of, company benefit programs
  • Processing insurance enrollments and acting as a liaison with insurance carriers
  • Conducting New Hire and Benefits Orientations as needed
  • Performing activities related to basic leave of absence administration and employee relations issues
  • Providing research assistance in a variety of areas, such as employee relations, equal employment opportunity, compensation, occupational health and safety, benefits, and internal communications
  • Managing the employee off-boarding process

Qualified candidates must have 3+ years' general human resources experience (preferably within a large company environment) and have practical employment law knowledge. Excellent communication skills required, as this is primarily an employee-facing position. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook also required.
