POSITION TITLE: Driver/Warehouse
STATUS: Full-time Reporting to Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES: Pick up and deliver cases to assigned customers. Must be flexible, have good customer service skills, good communication skills, including legible penmanship. Maintain strong/favorable relationships with all participating donors; prepare outgoing deliveries; retrieve local donations; deliver products and or USDA and maintain accurate records. Previous rout delivery experience is preferred but not required.
A. Make local pickups from food and agriculture customers.
B. Establish and maintain good relationship with customers.
C. Prepare and deliver orders to agencies and distribution sites.
D. Set up distribution sites if no volunteer site captains on hand as necessary.
2. Record Keeping
A. Maintain accurate records on local donations.
B. Vehicle upkeep to include: mileage records, washing, and repairs. To report any required maintenance requirements to the management.
A. Maintain the loading dock.
B. Assist with warehouse duties as requested by the Operations Manager.
C. Performs duties in a safe manner.
D. Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably and safely.
Interpersonal Relations: Maintain professional appearance when making deliveries, and
maintain a good relationship with all community donors and volunteers.
Valid Driver’s License Maintain valid class B driver’s license permit from the State of
California and maintain outstanding driving record.
Ability to operate manual transmission
Minimum 1 year Commercial Driving Experience
Clean DMV record.
Records: Ability to maintain accurate delivery and maintenance records.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
