ABOUT THE POSITION:
The City of Monterey currently has two full-time Building Maintenance Worker vacancies in the Public Works Department. The Building Maintenance Worker is an entry-level position that is expected to perform a variety of basic-level custodial and maintenance duties in the General Services Division of the Public Works Department. The General Services Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all City-owned buildings and the Presidio of Monterey. Building Maintenance Workers will work as part of a team and independently and are responsible to provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
Candidates who successfully complete all components of this recruitment process will be placed on an eligibility list. The eligibility list is active for 12-months and may be used to fill additional vacancies including lower-level positions determined to have similar duties and requirements.
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.

Possession of a valid California Driver's License at time of appointment.
