I am a solo practitioner, practicing mostly in the areas of real estate, estate planning and
administration, and general business law. I do some litigation, but it is generally
restricted to trust and estate matters and unlawful detainer.
I am looking for a part time legal assistant with at least five (5) years of previous
experience working in law firms. This position can evolve into a full time
position with benefits, depending on the applicant’s aptitude and skill set.
Tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, drafting and transcription
of a wide range of business, real estate, and legal and estate planning documents
as well as client correspondence, covering the reception and phones when
necessary, and file and filing maintenance, and running office errands.
Familiarity with Word and California legal forms programs is required,
given the nature of the work, there is a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
The current opening is for up to 25 hours per week with competitive pay.
You must have a valid California Driver’s License. If you are a notary public,
that is a plus.
