Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and test of electronic/mechanical sub-systems and finished product, including programming PCBs and executing test scripts to evaluate performance against product specifications.
  • Manage production line including build planning, inventory, procedures, training and equipment.
  • Use of electronic test equipment to test, evaluate or troubleshoot.
  • Reworking PCBs and building custom wire harnesses, battery packs and electronics modules.
  • Labeling, packaging and shipping finished product.
  • Documenting and maintaining records of material and processes used for all builds.
  • Maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring that line control is followed and all equipment is calibrated prior to builds.
  • Assist Quality department in handling incoming or returned material, with dimensional and functional inspections or bench testing as necessary.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred).
  • 5+ years’ work experience as an assembly/test technician in a regulated environment (e.g. medical device, military or equivalent).
  • Experience with electronics test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies. Ability to read schematics and PCB assembly drawings.
  • Good soldering ability –able to rework PCBs with components down to 0402 size.

Other Skills Required:

  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on assigned projects with limited supervision

Location: Santa Cruz, CA (fully on-site)
