The City of Santa Cruz is currently hiring a Deputy Building Official. The Building Division is a passionate team within the Planning and Community Development Department that strives to help the City’s development projects and keep our community safe. Under general direction, the Deputy Building Official manages the daily operations of the Building Inspection Services of the Department of Planning and Community Development; plans, schedules and coordinates the activities and projects of the City’s building inspection, plan review and permit application processing sections; trains and supervises division staff; serves as a technical resource for staff; and performs other duties as assigned.
